Columbia City Jazz Debut2010 is starting strong with CCHS Jazz! Come and support us as we compete at DeKalb Chicken & Jazz on February 12, 2010. We will perform there at 5:35pm. The next day, we perform at the Nicholas Invitational at Snider High School at 10:30am! We look forward to seeing you at both shows! Please congratulate our ISSMA State Solo & Ensemble Finalists!! They will be performing at the State competition on February 27, 2010.Olivia Western, Clarinet Solo Thomas Cox, Snare Drum Solo Rachel Hazelet, Xylophone Solo Natalie Angel, Flute Solo Amelia Roman, Flute Solo Samuel Spencer, Alto Saxophone Solo Nicole Yingst, Clarinet Solo The following students achieved a perfect score in their percussion event. Jenny Reeve, Percussion Ensemble Rachel Hazelet, Percussion Ensemble Michaela McIntosh, Percussion Ensemble Cody Horvath, Percussion Ensemble Wil Hockemeyer, Percussion Ensemble Michael Estep, Percussion Ensemble Tommy Cox, Percussion Ensemble Neil Johnson, Percussion Ensemble Austin Erne, Percussion Ensemble Brice Aldrich, Percussion Ensemble Danny Boismier, Percussion Ensemble Jason Coverstone, Percussion Ensemble Kaileb O’Connor, Percussion Ensemble All students involved in this event put in a tremendous amount of hard work outside of their school day. Some even began work on their solos when it was still warm outside! If you can pass this information on to the community, these students truly deserve their recognition. |
